Okinawa 2012

Ten members of the Dojo in Erlangen had the opportunity to visit Okinawa, the origin of Karate-Do. From March 23rd to April 9th 2012, the members from the Dojo studied under the tutelage of several masters of the Okinawa Karate Dō Association (Okikukai). Tsutomu Nakahodo (10th Dan), Toshio Higa (9th Dan), Shinmatsu Okuhama (9th Dan), Nobuhide Asato (9th Dan), Hirokuni Yamashiro (8th Dan) and others held the training sessions.

Between the 22 training sessions, there was enough time for the visitors from Germany to enjoy Japanese culture and

hospitality. They visited famous sights like Shuri Castle, participated in Karaoke evenings, a tea ceremony and more.
